Owusu Bempah's 17 prophecies for 2017

Call him what you may; a soothsayer, a pastor, a politician on a pulpit, or a prophet of doom. Isaac Owusu Bempah, founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International continues to dominate the headlines in Ghana, often for reasons other than right. 

The pastor, who has courted controversy in Ghana for several years appears to have a trigger that sparks such discussions about him. 

The 31st of December 2016 was one such day he decided to make use of that trigger.

As is now custom at his church, hundreds of Ghanaians showed up for a 'taste of what to expect' in 2017 and Rev Owusu Bempah was sure to stay the course of not disappointing. 

However, some of his utterances on new year's eve seem to have gotten Ghanaians more worried than excited. 

The controversial man of God is predicting the deaths of a former president, a former first lady as well as a 'great king' in Ghana. 

He's also predicting a terrorist attack in the country, a coup d'etat as well as more clashes between Christians and Muslims in the country.

The prophecies, though intriguing to the several who hear them, have left many pondering what really a 2017 Ghana will look like. But Rev Owusu Bempah could not be bothered about how his prophecies are interpreted. His message is simple: Pray to avert them.

Rev. Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah yesterday at his church’s 31st December watch night service said many more celebrities will die in 2017 because they have given themselves to occultism.

He said this in a prophetic sermon he delivered to the members of her church.


Rev Owusu Bempah said that actresses, media personalities and musicians are dying rampantly because they have resorted to charms and warned that there will be more deaths in 2017.

He said that those celebrities that have resorted to charms in order to have authority and fame will die soon through car accidents and other bizarre deaths if they do not refrain from such acts.

Man who attempted to kill Mahama finally gets his freedom

Charles Antwi, the man who was once jailed 10 years for attempting to kill President John Mahama, has finally regained his freedom. 

The 37-year-old man is to be released today December 30, 2016 from the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations where he has been since August 2015.

Charles Antwi, who was charged for possessing firearms without lawful authority, pleaded guilty to the charge with explanation, and was convicted on his own plea in late July 2015. 

The man who hails from Diesoabaa, in the Brong Ahafo Regi, was on Sunday, July 26, 2015 found in the premises of the Ringway Gospel Assemblies of God Church, Osu, fidgeting on a seat he was sitting with a locally manufactured pistol and two rounds of ammunition. 

He later confessed that he had wanted to kill the president at Church so that he would become the president of Ghana. 

He was jailed by an Accra Circuit Court days after the incident, However, the jail term was quashed after an Accra High Court judge in a certiorari order ruled that Antwi, who has been declared mentally unstable after medical examination, should be taken to the Psychiatric Hospital for treatment. 

Antwi was therefore placed in the custody of the BNI to enable him to undergo treatment at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. 

A human rights lawyer and counsel for Charles Antwi, Francis Xavier-Sosu, who appealed to set aside the sentencing of Antwi, confirmed to Ghanamain.blogspot.com  today that his client would be released later today as free man.

HOT VIDEO: NDC Celebrity, Mzbel Pelted With Egg While Performing In Belgium




An angry female fan has allegedly pelted controversial musician Mzbel, with an egg while she was performing on stage.

The incident occurred at an event dubbed All White Party in Gent, Belgium on Boxing Day, December 26.
Some fans appeared to have difficulty separating Mzbel, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) political activist from Mzbel the entertainer.
She had said days to the December 7 general elections that the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not a presidential material.
He is now President after he defeated Mzbel’s choice and NDC presidential candidate John Mahama and Mzbel has been getting some negative reactions following her political gamble.
After the egg-throwing incident, a number of fans reportedly threatened to boycott the event if the singer was not dropped from the bill.
In spite of the threat, organisers went ahead with the event on Boxing Day.
In a live Facebook post by OldBoga Ghana, the MC for the event, condemned the attack on the musician.
The incident caused an abrupt halt of the show with several persons attending to Mzbel to ensure that she was unhurt. There was also some confusion on stage.
She could be later heard telling the crowd, in Twi that, the person has cursed her and urged that they put the incident behind them and continue the show.
“Are we going to do the show or not. Please can I perform or should I go home?” Mzbel kept asking on stage.
The show subsequently continued afterwards.
The singer, born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, after the December 7 elections alleged that supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) made violent antics and threatened to beat her up.









Ghanaians Will Soon Start Crying For Mahama – Rex Omar




Veteran highlife musician, Rex Omar says he is very comfortable with the NDC although his favourite party and candidate lost the just ended election.

He chose to sleep and is the least perturbed with the threats while some other celebrities cry for help.
“I endorsed the NDC since 2008. Despite the negativity it comes with it from anonymous people I still don’t regret following the NDC and I’m a straight forward politician.”
In a latest comment from the ace musician, he believes Ghanaians haven’t been fair to the incumbent president hence “Ghanaians will soon be crying for Mahama as they did for Osagyefo.”
His comment under incumbent president John Dramani Mahama Facebook’s post has generated interesting comments as well.
John Mahama posted: “I inaugurated a Joint Transition Team to begin the process of a smooth handing over of the governance of our beloved country, Ghana, to President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Addressing the nation in the evening before December 7, I assured Ghanaians that Ghana will pass the test with distinction. Here we are today, ensuring smooth transfer of power to the admiration of Africa and the world. This is what makes us unique and this is why we must work to protect and defend our democratic credentials and reputation as a beacon of hope for Africa.”
Ghanaians will Soon be crying for you as we did for Osagyefo. I have no regrets for endorsing you, stay blessed my dear friend, he wrote.

Brong Ahafo House of Chiefs Apologizes To President-Elect Akufo-Addo




The President of the Brong Ahafo House of Chiefs, Pimapim Yaw Kabrese, who doubles as Yejimanhene, has appealed to President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to forgive all those who made disparaging statements about him in the run-up to the December polls.


Pimapim Yaw Kabrese made the appeal last Friday when Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the regional house of chiefs to thank them and the subjects for supporting him.
It would be recalled Pimapim Yaw Kabrese and other chiefs in the Brong Ahafo Region openly threw their weight behind President Mahama.
The Omanhene of Sunyani Traditional Area, Nana Bosoma Aso Nkrawire IV, whose prediction for Mahama, caused confusion in the region was also present at the meeting.
Nana Bosoma Aso Nkrawire IV had predicted that President Mahama would win 80 percent of the total valid votes.
Addressing the President-elect and his entourage, Pimnapim Kabresey asked Nana Addo and the NPP to forgive all those who said negative things about him or the party.
He said Nana Addo’s conduct ensured peaceful elections in the country.
He called on the President-elect to appoint indigenes who have the requisite qualifications and expertise as ministers.
On his part, the President-elect thanked the people of the region for giving him their unflinching support.
He said the region’s 57% popular vote enabled him to win the presidency.
Nana Addo also thanked the chiefs and people for voting for 20 NPP parliamentary candidates during the elections.
He said he would fulfill all his campaign promises and revive the cashew industry.
Nana Addo also reiterated his pledge to refund the deposits of all customers of DKM Micro Finance.
The President-elect was accompanied by Vice President-elect, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, Women’s Organizer National, Otiko Afisa Jaba and some leading members of the party.
