3 NDC Supporters Commit Suicide Over Mahama’s Defeat

Three supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), committed suicide after Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was declared President of the 2016 December polls.

The three supporters, Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuiye said could not contain the pain of defeat hence they committing suicide.
The Minister said on Accra-based Starr FM Wednesday that the incident happened across the country. He however failed to name names and the locations where it happened.
“We have reports of people committing suicide. Yes, I’ve heard of about three across the country. People could just not stand it… Even me, I broke down,” he said.
Incumbent President John Mahama eventually conceded defeat to main rival Nana Akufo-Addo of the NPP later in the evening of Friday, December 9 as the latter had taken a commanding lead of over a million votes difference with four of the 275 constituencies unaccounted for.
The President-elect, Nana Addo will take the oath of office to officially assume his position on January 7, 2017.
The defeat, he confessed came to the NDC party as a big blow hence the need on the part of the party leadership to “assuage the frustrations of supporters” of the NDC.
‘We’re in a comfortable lead’ is to “assuage the frustration of the supporters. [It was] to minimise their frustration because the anger that would have come with the straight [admittance] that we have lost, people would have committed suicide,” he said.
And three of the staunch supporters of the party, he said could still not contain the defeat, hence committing suicide.
Some disappointed supporters of the NDC also wept uncontrollably when the President went to Somanya to cut sod for the construction of the Eastern University.

HOT VIDEO: ‘Innocent’ Mills’ Soul Crying For Justice – Owusu Bempah

Ghana’s former leader, late Prof John Evans Atta Mills is still crying in heaven and seeking vengeance for his soul.

Prof Mills who died six months to the end of his term, founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah has been crying because ‘he never died a natural death’.
“When I was in heaven, the angel took to a location where they opened a curtain, I saw late President Mills alone in a room crying. Then the angel told me that he was not in that palace but God allowed them to bring him there at the time so he could teach me something which was that he never died a natural death…,” he said.
President Mills died on 24th July, 2012 and was buried months to the national election of that year.
Several calls have come for the probing of the cause of death of the late leader. Progressive People’s Party (PPP) leader, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom promised to probe the cause of the late leader’s death if the PPP had come to power.
This call, did not go down well with elements of the NDC who called the bluff of the PPP leader at the time.
But Rev Owusu Bempah during an exclusive interview on Adom TV’s Pampaso on Thursday said the late President did not die a natural death so has been crying since his burial.
“They have provided him with a bowl into which his tears fall anytime he cries. The reason is that they were preventing the tears from falling unto the land because that could cause chaos in Ghana. Ghana would have become a land of desolation. It’s an innocent blood which have been sacrificed because of position…,” he said.
The man of God further revealed that he saw President Mahama also in another room where he had been chained and was crying and sweating as well.
“The angel opened another curtain, there I saw President Mahama with chains around his neck, waist and legs as well. The chains have been tied to a huge stone. He was sweating and crying profusely as well with a red scarlet tied around his waist as well…,” Rev Owusu Bempah said.

Rev. Owusu Bempah Prophesies Mahama’s Future After Election Loss… Here Is What He Says

The founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah has said that the outgoing President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has no chance of leading the country any more.

“President Mahama can never lead Ghana again, I like him but the truth that God has revealed to me is that he cannot become the President of Ghana again. He is done with his job and God rejected him even before the 2016 elections…,” he said.

President Mahama who was sworn in to complete the unfinished term of Prof John Mills who died barely six months to the end of his term in 2012 was elected President of the country in the 2012 elections.

His bid to seek re-election in 2016 hit a snag when he could only garner 44.4% of valid votes cast as against Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s 53.8%.
The President conceded defeat leading to the declaration of Akufo-Addo as the President-elect. Transition is currently ongoing and he would be sworn into office on January 7th, 2017.
Executives of the NDC have instituted a committee to investigate what led to the loss of the party which had campaigned on massive infrastructure development.
Before the report of the committee would be out, some elements in the NDC have started campaigning for the President to be re-elected to contest the 2020 elections on the ticket of the NDC.
The man of God who predicted victory for the NPP has however called on the JM 2020 crusaders to halt their efforts and look for another candidate to support in the party.
“I will urge the NDC to stop considering the President for 2020 because he won’t win and can never win an election again. Those campaigning for him to be brought back should stop because if they succeed in getting him lead the NDC in 2020, NDC will lose again and they will be in opposition for a long time,” he counselled.
Asked why the President has been rejected by God to lead Ghana again, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah said President Mahama has ‘blood stains on his hands.’
“In the run up to the 2016 elections, I had a vision of President Mahama in chains – on his neck, legs and on his hands. The seat of the President has been turned up side down to show that it was empty and that a successor was required…so I knew the President would lose the 2016 elections and that is why I was confident about my prophecies,” he said.

US expels Russian diplomats over cyber attack allegations

Putin and Obama

The US has expelled 35 Russian diplomats as punishment for alleged interference into last month's presidential elections, giving them 72 hours to leave the country.
It will also close two compounds used for Russian intelligence-gathering.
President Barack Obama had vowed action against Russia amid US accusations it directed hacks against the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton's campaign.
Russia has denied any involvement and called the decision "ungrounded".
The US state department declared the 35 Russian diplomats from the Washington DC embassy and the consulate in San Francisco "persona non grata", and gave them and their families 72 hours to leave the US.
The move follows calls from senior US senators to sanction Russian officials who are believed to have played a role in the hacking, which some lawmakers referred to as America's "political Pearl Harbor".
Republican senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, who led the calls for sanctions, said they "intend to lead the effort in the new Congress to impose stronger sanctions on Russia".
A Kremlin spokesman told journalists in Moscow that President Vladimir Putin would consider retaliatory measures.
Dmitry Peskov said the actions were "a manifestation of unpredictable and aggressive foreign policy", and called them "ungrounded and not legal".
And the Russian embassy in the UK tweeted a visual gag calling the Obama presidency a lame duck.

Russian Embassy tweets: President Obama expels 35 🇷ussian diplomats in Cold War deja vu. As everybody, incl american people, will be glad to see the last of this hapless Adm.
President-elect Donald Trump, who will take over from President Obama next month, has dismissed the hacking claims as "ridiculous" and said Americans should "get on with our lives" when asked about the possibility of sanctions before the announcement on Wednesday.
Sanctions have also been announced against nine entities and individuals including Russian intelligence agencies, the GRU and the FSB.
Russian intelligence compounds in New York and Maryland will be closed.

'Necessary and appropriate'

In a statement, President Obama called the moves a "necessary and appropriate response to efforts to harm US interests" and said "all Americans should be alarmed by Russia's actions".
Mr Obama also announced the US would declassify technical information related to Russian cyber activity to "help network defenders in the United States and abroad identify, detect, and disrupt Russia's global campaign of malicious cyber activities".
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, the top Republican in Congress, said in a statement that despite the measures being overdue "it is an appropriate way to end eight years of failed policy with Russia".
Democratic Senator Ben Cardin, who is from Maryland, called for Congress to take action separately from the White House, and plans to introduce legislation to establish a committee "to further examine the attack and Russian's efforts to interfere in our election".

'A decade-long campaign'

In a joint statement by the Department of Homeland Security, the Office of the Director of National Security, and the FBI, US officials appeal to companies to "look back within their network traffic" and report any signs of "malicious cyber activity" to law enforcement.
The Russian hacking, which the US intelligence agencies describe as a "decade-long campaign" included methods such as "spearphishing, campaigns targeting government organisations, critical infrastructure, think-tanks, universities, political organisations, and corporations; theft of information from these organisations; and the recent public release of some of this stolen information".
Emails stolen from Hillary Clinton's campaign manager and from the servers of the Democratic National Committee were released during the 2016 presidential election by Wikileaks.
Several US agencies, including the FBI and CIA have concluded that the hacked information was released to cause damage to Mrs Clinton and the Democrats in order to favour Mr Trump.

12 Problems Only Girls With Big Butts Understand

You like your big butt, but you cannot lie—it comes with some issues.

Let's be real: There's never been a better time to have a big butt. Booty celebration is everywhere you look, from Meghan Trainor's hit song to Kim Kardashian's new Paper magazine cover. So now more than ever, those of us with a little (or a lot) of meat on our behinds are being encouraged to shake it, show it off, and embrace what we've got. Awesome!

Still, all of this big booty love can't erase the inevitable problems that come with the perks. Hey, with great power comes great responsibility, right? Here are just a few burdens that the big-bootied bear.

1. No jeans fitting correctly, ever. Either you can't pull them over your butt, or you wind up with a huge gap in the waist. There is no in between.

None animated GIF

2. All skirts and dresses are too short in the back. Oh, that office-appropriate pencil skirt you love? It's more club-appropriate on your booty.

None animated GIF

3. Forget squeezing between tables at restaurants. Or aisles at movie theatres. Your butt is an independent entity that will wind up in the faces of anyone in the near vicinity.

4. Every seating struggle ever. Perching on a barstool leads to booty spillage. You take up more than your fair share when sharing a seat. Sitting on someone's lap never goes as planned.

None animated GIF

5. You've flashed a little crack more times than you care to think about. Maybe you should just embrace this part of you and become a plumber.

None animated GIF

6. People assume you've got mad moves to go with your booty. Yes, your butt has its own gravitational pull. But not everyone with a robust backside can twerk.

7. You still have an embarrassing spiritual connection Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back." What can you say? Back before you learned to embrace your curves, this anthem gave you hope.

8. Trying to work the cute baggy boyfriend jeans trend has two results: You either look homeless or huge—and neither is a good look.

9. Your butt eats underwear for breakfast. There's no delicate way to say it. If you forgo the thong, it's permanent wedgie city.

10. Similarly, running shorts are a distant fantasy. Unless you like your shorts riding up higher and higher with each stride. Yay, chafing.

11. Finding a cute bikini is impossible. If there isn't a mix-and-match option, forget it. You have to pick between your butt hanging out or super-frumpy granny bottoms.

12. Guys are always grabbing your butt. Not that you can complain, but c'mon, your girls need some love, too.

NDC To Force Mahama To Contest Election 2020 – Nii Lante Vanderpuije

The Minister of Sports Nii Lante Vanderpuije has served notice President John Mahama will return as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate in the 2020 elections, despite a humiliating defeat in the December polls.

Speaking on personality profile show – Starr Chat – on Starr 103.5 FM Wednesday, Mr. Vanderpuije stressed Mahama will be “forced” by party members to stage a comeback because he is the obvious choice to lead the outgoing NDC government.
“We’ll force John Mahama to go,” the MP for Odododiodoo told his host Bola Ray.
The outspoken and controversial lawmaker is optimistic his boss will be on the ballot again in four years’ time, adding there is no way his running mate Kwesi Amissah-Arthur will contest if Mahama declines.
“If John Mahama will not go, Amissah-Arthur will not go,” Mr. Vanderpuije was emphatic, noting that a reverse decision by the outgoing vice president will be a “betrayal” of his boss.
President Mahama lost the 2016 elections by a shocking 1.5 million votes difference to veteran opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo, who polled 53%. He becomes the first sitting president under the Fourth Republic to have tasted defeat. The president-elect will be sworn in come January 7, 2017.
In the event Mahama refuses to contest the next elections, Mr. Vanderpuije could not place his bet on former flagbearer hopeful Ekow Spio-Garbrah, 63, arguing age has caught up with him. He believes the party may consider a young and vibrant candidate and also ruled out the outgoing chief of staff, Julius Debrah.
“Julius Debrah will not go, I know him. He is my former boss. He would have given me a hint,” Mr. Vanderpuije opined.
He has, however, sent a note of caution to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to “watch out” because the NDC is going to “correct our mistakes and come back like ‘kakai’”.

Out-Going President, John Mahama’s Retirement Package Finally Released

President John Mahama will take home a salary of GH¢22,809  up from the non-taxable salary of GH¢15,972 previously approved for outgoing presidents.

This reflects about 43 percent increase from the amount previously paid to outgoing presidents.
This was contained in the Presidential Emoluments Committee on the conditions of service of Article 71 office holders’ report available to Ghanamain.blogspot.com
The Committee which is a creation of the 1992 Constitution was headed by Prof. Dora Francisca Edu- Buandoh of the University of Cape Coast with four other members. The Prof. Dora Francisca Edu- Buandoh report was approved by Parliament after series of closed-door sessions before the house rose for the end of year holidays.
According to the report, the outgoing President, while on retirement will receive benefits such as state-provided staff not exceeding four (4) and a furnished and up-to-date office and communication equipment.
Mahama won’t get a house
Instead of going home with a fully furnished house in Accra and another location of his choice outside the capital, President Mahama will rather receive “40 percent of [his] salary to be paid monthly. Staff support consisting of a cook, steward and gardener.”
This is a deviation from the Chinery-Hesse Committee Report (2001-2005) which said, former Presidents should receive “one fully furnished residence in the national capital an done out-of-capital residence at a location of the former President’s choice; all of which should not revert to the state in the event of the demise of the former President.”
In the area of security, “the state will provide two security persons to be chosen by the former President from state security. Two vehicles for security.”
For transport, President Mahama will be given two vehicles, a chauffeur, maintained and comprehensively insured by the State and changed every four years for life.
For overseas official travel, the state will fully pay for all such trips with his spouse and two security persons. The state will however, sponsor only two of such travels per year and those not exceeding two weeks in duration.
President Mahama and his wife will also be entitled to free healthcare.
Other benefits include, the payment of utilities at his residence.
The Chief Justice will also take home GH¢17,107 instead of the previous GH¢15,552 while the Speaker of Parliament, who receives GH¢16,174 will take home GH¢17,791.
Other Article 71 office holders including Justices of the Supreme Court, Members of Parliament (MPs), Ministers of State, political appointees and some public servants will benefit from the 10% across board increase which takes retrospective effect from 2013.

AUDIO: Sarkodie Talks About Politics & Reveals Why He Did Not Vote [FULL INTERVIEW]

Sarkodie’s failure to vote during the December 7, 2016 election became a topic for discussion after revered music producer, Justice Oteng (Wei Ye Oteng) mentioned that the rapper has no right to complain about governance.

Before the elections, Sarkodie released three songs [‘Inflation’, ‘The Masses’ and ‘Dumsor’] on which he lamented the erratic power supply in the country, the continuous depreciation of the Ghanaian Cedi, and increased rate of corruption within government.
Oteng argued that it was not enough for Sarkodie to record songs to chastise the Mahama-led administration; he should have exercised his franchise.
“Making songs about crisis is not enough. You have to set example for your fans by going out to vote to show your patriotism…This is not only to Sarkodie but also some other celebrities who do not take part in election yet they complain when things don’t go well”, Oteng said on Pluzz FM.
Well, Sarkodie has disclosed he could not vote because he was outside the country.
“I was actually in the States because I had a contract from the time I went to Harvard till now. They booked way back and I could not say no at this point,” he told Sammy Flex on AM Pluzz, Wednesday.
“I didn’t talk about parties; I talked about the system. If I didn’t vote, that doesn’t make me hypocritical and doesn’t limit me from making statements. I’m talking about leadership. I didn’t hit on voting,” he added.
Sarkodie also touched on a number of issues including his feud with M.anifest, signing Awal and the future of Akwaboah at SarkCess Music.
